
Holmenkollen Restaurant
was build in 1892 and can offer some of the nicest facilities in town
and a priceless view. Holmenkollen Restaurant lies only 20 minutes from
the centre of Oslo at the very top of Oslo acts as a gateway to the Marka forest.
It
enjoys fantastic views over the whole city and boasts a wide range of
attractions, activities, accomodation. Holmenkollen is the gateway to
the forest surrounding Oslo, Marka which has miles and miles of
prepared cross-country ski tracks.
HOLMEKOLLEN PARK HOTEL RICA
A
distinguished hotel, built in the distinctive Dragon-style more than a
century ago. The oldest part of the hotel dates from 1894, and is an
architectural delight, featuring the restaurant "De Fem Stuer", meeting
rooms, lounges and banquet rooms. The hotel is surrounded by open
spaces and hills, and is situated next to the Holmenkollen Ski Arena.
The surroundings provide excellent opportunities for cycling, skiing or
jogging.

HOLMENKOLLEN
Holmenkollen is home to Norway´s most visited tourist attractions. The Holmenkollen Ski Jump, wich comprises the Ski Jump Tower with its panoramic views over Oslo, the worlds oldest ski museum and a ski simulator
where you can feel for yourself what it´s like to jump at Holmenkollen.
From the ski jump tower, 60 meters above the ground and 417 meters
above the sea level, you can experience a breathtaking view of Oslo and
the fjord below.

The
Ski Museum is the world´s oldest museum specialising in skis and the
history of skiing. The museum is situated inside the actual
Holmenkollen ski jump.
The Ski Museum illustrates 4000 years of
skiing history with rock carvings, skis from the time of the Vikings,
and skis from various parts of Norway that show local handicraft skills
and traditions. The Ski Museum display the Skier from Tro Island. The rock carving was used under the XVII Olympic Winter Games in 1994 at Lillehammer.
You
will also be able to see modern racing- and cross-country skis, as well
as skis used by athletes throughout the last century. A snowboard
exhibition illustrates this new trend in winter sports.
TRYVANN VINTERPARK
The
Vinterpark provides skiing facilities for downhill enthusiasts and
snowboarders in a stunning natural setting. We have 14 slopes and 6
lifts, and all our facilities provide everything from a special area
for children and beginners to a prepared terrainpark and challenging
tracks of international competition standard.
THE TRYVANN TOWER
The tower is not longer accessible for tourists, but the view and the area is nice for recreation all year. |
