Skjåk municipality has approximately 2.340 inhabitants and covers a area of 2.075,6 km2. Farming and forestry have always been important for settling and employment in Skjåk. The administrative centre is at Bismo with aqpproximately 500 inhabitants.

GROTLI HØYFJELLSHOTEL
The main attractions are Grotli Høyfjellshotel. Grotli is ideally situated for excursions to many well-known tourist attractions, both to the east and to the west. In 1905 the privately- owned hotel was opened, and you can experience the atmosphere from that era, with its timber walls and cosy log fires, to this day.
