NESNA

Nesna township is a part of the "Land of the Arctic Circle". This is where Petter Dass began his career as a poet while he worked as a curate from 1672 to 1689. Nesna is also known for its "Nesna lobben" (traditional winter boots made of felt), which is exported to large parts of the world. Nesna town centre lies on the Nesna Peninsula and it is a good base for Deep-sea fishing trips.
