HAMSUN´S CHILDHOOD HOME
The farm lies at the edge of a wood, with farmhouse, cow barn and shed, and the cultivated plot of land slopes downwards to the road. Knut and his family came here from Garmo.
It was on this small farm Knut spent his childhood. He was number four of a large family of 6 children, four boys and two girls. "My home was poor, but endlessly beloved". Hamsun writes later on. In Knut Hamsun´s childhood home there is a little museum which is open during the summer.
