ROLLAG STAVE CHURCH This church is mentioned for the first time in 1425, but it is older than this. A stavechurch built around 1200. The church has been remodeled over the years, but some of the original parts are still standing. It´s been looking like this since 1660. The medieval nave forms the core of Rollag stave church, although the church was enlarged and rebuilt towards the end of the 1600´s. The pulpit and the wall decorations are also dated from the 1600´s. Inside, the choir has beautiful decorations which were recovered during the restaurations in the 1930´s. The altar, font and chantel are also worth a closer look. The church is still in use. Rollag Stave Church is located in Rollag.
