Adventures RAFTING

Rafting is an invigorating and exciting activity for adventurers and involves paddling down river and along open stretches in rubber dinghies.
White water rafting is a risky activity. Do not go out alone. We strongly advise that you participate in groups with a qualified instructor.
The minimum age limit for participating is 18 (15 years with parental guidance). Trips are arranged several places and in different rivers.

TROLL MOUNTAIN

Troll Mountain as is one of the largest and most experienced providers of outdoor adventure activities in Scandinavia. We operate out of Setesdal Rafting & Activity Centre, situated beside the river Otra. At the rafting centre we can accommodate and cater for large groups on multi-activity holidays, corporate groups, school parties, individual tourists or outdoor education courses.

Troll Mountain is a very professional outdoor business with a wide range of activities running throughout the entire year. We can offer 20 different activities within 20 minutes driving of our rafting centre. The centre is open from April until November with activities running daily during this period.

The activities we arrange at the centre is Rafting, River kayaking, River board & pro rafting, Mountain biking, Canoeing, Rock climbing, Mountain trekking, Volleyball, basketball, tennis and football, Horse riding, Inline skating, Team building & motivation training, Fishing, Paintball and Archery.

The activities we arrange on Byglandsfjord, 5 minutes north from the centre is Sailing, Windsurfing, Water skiing and wakeboarding, Banana boat or Bronco trips.

ARCTIC RAFTING

We the Norwegian Vikings and Trolls will hereby share our treasures with you and contribute to your natural wealth. Far far away at the Arctic Circle. We will show you our Castle of Marble, and lead you in the Turquoise River dance over the Glacier and inside Mother Earth. At midnight we set sails out in the Fjord, under golden rays of sunshine and enchanting coastline where you will confirm this Fairytale at the Top of the World.

Our farm is in rustic surroundings 20 km from Mo i Rana and 30 km from the Swedish border. From here we see Okstindene with northern Norway´s highest peak and Svartisen glacier which is Norways second largest glacier.

Improve your midnight sun and moon tan under the northern arctic lights. Walk your talk and excel your existential jump in Norway´s Arctic Circle Valhalla - mi casa es su casa. So emerge into our Lapland and National parks and create your own Saga in this moving picture´s delight.

JØLSTER RAFTING

Located in the middle of Fjord Norway, the municipality of Jølster is famous for the natural beauty of its many-faceted landscape. No wonder it boasts the highest concentration of river-rafting and glacier-walking opportunities anywhere in Norway.

These unique natural advantages form the basis for Jølster Rafting and its operations, which are all about making the outdoor elements available to you. We provide most of the equipment you need, and committed guides with top-ranking knowledge and experience take care of you at all times.

The activities we arrange are: Rafting in two rivers, Glacier walks, Paintball, Wilderness Camp.

Rafting
The Stardalselva river and the Jølstra river, with a range of different trip combinations; The Jølstra, our most frequently visited river. Not many rivers offer as much fun and excitement. The Stardalselva perfect for those new to rafting. Very entertaining rapids.

Glacier walking
The Haugabreen glacier is part of the Jostedalsbreen National Park, and is accessible from Stardalen in Jølster. A walk on this glacier offers great views of some of Jølster´s magnificent mountain and glacier landscapes. If you continue to the summit of Snønipa, the 360 degree panorama is absolutely stunning when weather conditions are favourable.

Wilderness Camp

Iis beautifully located on the bank of the Stardalselva river on an idyllic, grassy plain, surrounded by high, dramatic-looking mountains. Our two Lavvos, or Sami tents, are suitable both for overnight accommodation and for indoor fireside activities. Alternatively, we can gather round a big fire outside. Meals are available from our barbecue kitchen nearby.

ARCTIC VIKING

At the beginning of each season of the Lofoten fishing. We spend a month fishing for cod. We are one of the boats participating in the World Championship of cod fishing. Those interested in taking part can come aboard anywhere from Mo i Rana to Solvær, spending one or several days taking part with us.

This is an amazing experience, guaranteed to provide you with unforgettable memories as we cruise and fish the coastal waters of Norway, going ashore in both large and small harbours along the way. You will experience nature, environment, culture and excellent fishing during your trip. The vessel is fully equipped and carries tackle for everyone, although you may bring your own if you prefer.

The activities we arrange are: Sea Fishing, Fjord Fishing, Midnight Sun sailing, Arctic Circle sailing, Glacier tour to Okstindan and Arctic Adventure.

LOM RAFTING

Lom Rafting is a small but highly competent rafting and activity company based in the middle of Norway, in between the mountains of Jotunheimen, Norway´s largest national park. The small village of Lom, where you will find us, is a well known fine peace of Norway where you find Old Norwegian culture and spectacular nature together and this make the frame of all our activities.

Here between the sharp peaks, spectacular glaciers and wild running rivers we can offer a large number of activities and overnight stay in everything from our own wildlife camp where you can sleep in Lapland tents (lavvo) or mud huts and be served good meals from our wildlife chef who have local meals as a speciality, to Fossheim Touristhotel, where you will find Norway´s most famous chef (Arne Brimi) on the kitchen making you the days speciality after a active day.

DAGALI RAFTING

At Dagali Rafting we arrange exciting trips at the river Numedalslågen next to the national park Hardangervidda. Our base is Hallandtunet Camping in the little town Dagali. Dagali is located ca. 23 km from Geilo, towards Kongsberg.

The upper parts of the river Numedalslågen in Dagali offers several categories in exciting rafting trips. With us you can experience everything from easy trips, rated grade 3, to extreme and challenging trips, rated grade 5. With an increased level of safety we allow ourselves to arrange grade 5-trips, on what has become Europe´s tuffest whitewater rafting.

We also guide our guests in canyoing, riverboard and mountain rappelling.

NORWEGIAN WILDLIFE & RAFTING

NWR is Norway´s oldest and most experienced rafting and wilderness firm. NWR is famous for rafting in Sjoa, and pioneered the sport of rafting in Scandanavia. We custom tailor adventures for firms, private persons, schools and institutions.

NWR is ideally located in Randsverk, at the edge of Jotunheimen national park, with glaciers and the Jotunheimens famous peaks, Galdhøpiggen, Glittertind, Besseggen, and many others close by, along with the famous canyon Ridderspranget, ancient forests, prehistoric dwellings, prehistoric animal hunting traps, and historic farms.
