THE TELEMARK CANAL

The Telemark Canal was hewn out of the rocks by hand well over 100 years ago, and when completed in 1892. Europeans described it as the "eighth wonder of the world". 500 men had worked for five years to dynamite their way through the rocks.

The Telemark Canal stretches 105 kilometres from Skien to Dalen. The Canal consists of eight locks with a total of 18 lock chambers, and a difference in height of 72 metres. There are six municipalities which are known as Canal Municipalities: Skien, Nome, Kviteseid, Tokke, Sauherad and Notodden.

COAST SAFARI

Coast Safari are situatedis in Ulsteinvik. We take you around the coast in 4 different vessels from 14 metres to 22 metres.
We give you a trip to Borgarøya an old trading centre from 1600 century, the place is rebuild to original.
The bird cliffs at Runde where over half a million birds are nesting. The most numerous birds are the puffins. More seldom birds like the sea eagle can also be observed at Runde.
Exclusive skiing/boat trips in Hjørundfjorden. We make special trips for groups of maximum 8 person combining skiing and boating in the famous mountain and fjords of Norway!
Museum of artic hunting Aarvak. Over 6000 objects are housed and the guides are real skippers form the actual time with impressive knowledge and stories of the artic sea life.
Herøy Gard / Herøy Coast Museum is located to the old trading centre Herøy Farm which is retained from 1800 century, with interior, fishing devices, traditional boats.

NORWAY FJORD CRUISE

It started out with the Sognefjord area and continued with the Fjord Norway district, from Stavanger to Kristiansund. Today we also represent boatowners and snaller shipping companies in North Norway.

At the Norwegian Glacier Museum you can find out why the ice is blue, or how the fjords were formed?
At the Brevasshytta you can enjoy a good meal and at the same time experience the magnificent glacier between the high mountains.
At Leikanger by the Sognefjord we find Henjatunet farm a traditional western Norwegian farm, with sheep and fruit, is run today and how it was farmed in the recent past.
Gudvangen magical white caves is an artistic tour made out of lights and music, silence and darkness, peace and harmony.
Ole Bull´s villa on the island of Lysøen, south of Bergen, was built in 1872. The island is an excellent recreation area with beautiful landscaping.
Finden farm is a small settlement off the beaten track, without any road connections. The farm is set in a fantastic landscape and the guided tour will afford you a unique experience still undiscovered by most tourists.
The Norwegian Wild Salmon Centre is in Lærdal, innermost in the Sognefjord on the banks of the Lærdal river, one of the most famous salmon rivers in Norway.
On the Årdalsfjord, we find the Indre Offerdal estate with its many buildings and technical installations

The ship is a very good alternative for companies, groups and private persons that want to experience something else in their holidays. Here you will find 1954 atmosphere! The passenger saloon can be arranged for up too 50 persons for dinner. M/S Gamle Helgeland will be able to carry 90 passengers in day voyages around the islands on the coast of Helgeland.

If you are interested in history, Vestfold has a rich selection of historical treasures from ancient and Viking times, enabling you to go back in time to the very heart of the Norwegian culture. We have a vessel called Gaia, which is a true copy of the Gokstadship.
