In the Kvåsfossen waterfall there are also a lot of potholes which appear when the water is low. Salmon and sea trout travel from the fjord and up the Lygna river. By the bottom of the waterfall they have to make a stop. The salmon and trout are not able to pass the mass of water that flows down the waterfall. The Lygna river, runs through the main valley.
