 Øksfjordjøkelen

Øksfjordjøkelen, the only glacier on mainland Europe that drops ice directly in to the sea. Øksfjordjøkelen is the ninth largest glacier in mainland Norway. The glacier is located on the border between Finnmark and Troms counties. The 42-square-kilometre glacier lies in both Loppa and Kvænangen. The highest point was earlier known to have an elevation of 1,204 metres.

It is now a mere 1,191 metres due to climate change. But it still is, for the time being, the highest point in all of Finnmark county. The area also have Svartfjelljøkulen glacier and Langfjordjøkelen glacier..

Øksfjord Sjøfiske offers several rental alternatives in and around Øksfjord. Centrally located in Øksfjord.
