As of today, Classic Norway has 13 hotels, situated in the Nordvestlandet (the northern part of western Norway) and in the Lofoten islands. The hotels are small, with an intimate atmosphere and closely connected to the local community. The food is almost exclusively based on local ingredients.

History The idea of a hotel chain consisting of small distinctive hotels in our area, there was a thought that formed in the period 1999/2000. This resulted in the Classic Norway AS was formally established in 2003.
From the beginning we had only two hotels; Hustadvika Guesthouse and Bjorligard Hotel. As the idea of developing and establishing more hotel overall would represent the diversity of our exciting region matured, it became a natural progression to buy, build and develop more hotels that fit into this concept.
In 2004 we bought Håholmen Havstuer in Averøy. This was an old fishing village from the 1700s and was owned and operated by renowned adventurer Ragnar Thorseth. In 2006 Ona Havstuer Finnøy Havstuer and Quality Hotel Alexandra also good members of the family. In 2007 Angvik Old Handessted built and restored, and in May 2008 we acquired the charming and venerable Hotel Utsikten in Geiranger. They opened the doors to guests for the first time already in 1891.
From 1 January 2013 was the hotel chain The Great Life, through acquisitions and cooperation agreements to Classic Norway. Classic Norway Hotels have now 3 new hotels and Rorbus (Fishermen Cabins) in addition to its 9 hotels on the west coast.
Our hotels are full-service hotel accommodations, restaurant, banqueting and meeting rooms. Our strength lies precisely in being flexible and facilitate customized event. Our customers are demanding and puts great demands top quality and good service.
All our kitchen stocked Nordic cuisine and we takes pride in using fresh fish, local meats, local cheeses, homemade bread and freshly picked berries from their local area.
