Ål, are wellknown among skiers, but there is lots to do in the summer, too. In Sudndalen, for example, you can have a good time on the mountain massif called Hallingskarvet.
Øvre Eiker, The landscape along the lower part of the Drammen river system is rich in fine farms, forests and vantage points, including the villages Skotselv, Darbu, Vestfossen and Hokksund. Interesting are the old parts of Hokksund and the Eiker countryside, including Nøstetangen glassworks and Hassel ironworks, silver mines and burial mounds, with Fossesholm Manor in Vestfossen as the main attraction.
